On symmetries in Galilei classical mechanics

چکیده
In the framework of Galilei classical and mechanics (i.e. , generally relativistic classical mechanics on a spacetime with absolute time) developed by Jadczyk and Modugno, we analyse systematically the relations between symmetries of the geometric objects. We show that the (holonomic) infinitesimal symmetries of the cosymplectic structure and of its potentials are also symmetries of spacelike metric, gravitational and electromagnetic fields, Euler-Lagrange morphism, Lagrangians. Then, we provide a covariant momentum map associated with a group of cosymplectic symmetries using a covariant lift of functions of phase space. In the case of an action that projects on spacetime we see that the components of this momentum map are quantisable functions in the sense of Jadczyck and Modugno. Finally, we illustrate the results in some examples.

On symmetries in covariant Galilei mechanics
In the framework of covariant classical mechanics (i.e. , generally relativistic classical mechanics on a spacetime with absolute time) developed by Jadczyk and Modugno, we analyse systematically the relations between symmetries of geometric objects. We show that the (holonomic) infinitesimal symmetries of the cosymplectic structure and of its horizontal potentials are also symmetries of spacel...

Several aspects of the manifestation of the causality principle in LQP (local quantum physics) are reviewed or presented. Particular emphasis is given to those properties which are typical for LQP in the sense that they do go beyond the structure of general quantum theory and even escape the Lagrangian quantization methods of standard QFT. The most remarkable are those relating causality to the...

We reinvestigate Bargmann's superselection rule for the overall mass of n particles in ordinary quantum mechanics with Galilei invariant interaction potential. We point out that in order for mass to de ne a superselection rule it should be considered as a dynamical variable. We present a minimal extension of the original dynamics in which mass it treated as dynamical variable. Here the classica...
متن کاملA Chern-Simons approach to Galilean quantum gravity in 2+1 dimensions
We define and discuss classical and quantum gravity in 2+1 dimensions in the Galilean limit. Although there are no Newtonian forces between massive objects in (2+1)dimensional gravity, the Galilean limit is not trivial. Depending on the topology of spacetime there are typically finitely many topological degrees of freedom as well as topological interactions of Aharonov-Bohm type between massive...
